DB ON THE QUAY

DB on the Quay yet again set on the amazing back drop that is Wexford Quay front in the heart of Wexford town was the main attraction of the May bank holiday weekend. With thanks to firstly the Wexford Co.Co we were able to run yet another hugely successful event to raise vital funds for the National children's ambulance service or more loving known as the BUMBLEANCE.

This year is even bigger than 2023 with this year we will not only be raising money for the Bumbleance but also remembering a friend of the club who passed and was a service user with the bumbleance we want to show our respects to the past service users and the joy that the Bumbleance brings to the hundreds of family's that it supports

The Entries last year year once again did  not disappoint and came from far and wide with again larger numbers from the north and west which is amazing to see the growth of our once little event.

The big day came and the crew were decked out with the never mistaken orange crew t shirts. The crowds came in their thousands to support the amazing charity and enjoy the free event that was DB on the Quay.

The locals along with the car community shared a family friendly and safe atmosphere side by side showing that the car culture of Ireland is far from what we see on late nights on winding back roads. The local Guarda division also joined us for the day supporting the smooth running of the traffic and entry and exit plans put in place with not one complaint about what we have seen on various social media platforms from exit videos. The show boasted some of the countries finest cars built not bought in the sheds of the enthusiasts.

The judging this year was tight but thankfully we had the best in the business with Lee and Connor from the all famous Reload Podcast and Neil from the all inspiring  Youtube  channel that is Juicebox.

The day found young and old along with north and south mixing and swapping social media accounts to generate new friendships and possible future deals all for the one great interest that is the automotive culture.

At BUMBLEance, They know how stressful it is to transport a sick child, BUMBLEance is with families every step of the way, with the comfort and safety of the children as their number one priority.

The BUMBLEance service is the first of its kind in the world.  It has all the amenities of a regular ambulance but it includes the all-important extras to make a sick child’s journey as safe, comfortable and entertaining as possible.  their aim is to distract, comfort and entertain Ireland’s youngest and most critically ill patients as they travel to and from hospitals and pediatric treatment centers nationwide
